True. Take a look at Friends. Ross and the librarian had sex, but everyone made fun of HIM for her not being attractive. Of course, it's a show, but it reflects reality. This kind of thinking is still modern.
Bullshit. School shootings are happening in my area now. We had the "this would never happen here" mentality, and now we've had 1 school shooting, and 3 other threats in the area. It's a trend. If your city has a population of over 30k, you might want to consider the possibility.
That's not what I'm saying...I'm saying it's bullshit to think it's not a real possibilty that a school shooting could happen near you. What the hell did you guys think I was saying? Why the downvotes? It's coming from a place of concern.
I lashed out at the post's attitude, implying not needing to worry, simply because it's a "statistical anomaly." I didn't "lash out at nothing." I never lash out just for the sake of lashing out. I know you do, which is why you probably couldn't just take a second to comprehend what was heavily implied. I really shouldn't have needed to explain myself this thoroughly. Yes, I'm annoyed. This whole conversation was ridiculous.
Nothing like that is actually implied, its a joke based in misdirection. You're reading to deep into it.
Also, a 1 in 2 000 000 chance seems pretty small anyway.
