Did you know orcas hunt great white sharks. They will hunt a shark, surgically tear it open and remove the liver for its nutrients, leaving the rest of the shark to sink and die. Great whites are terrified and will flee for months if an orca even passes by the area. Fascinating

Yes. It's also the one hunting technique that nearly every Orca knows; it's a delicacy for them. Orca pods generally tend to specialize in hunting different prey, I guess because it reduces competition and means they can practice it and improve their success rate. It would really suck if an Orca pod suddenly realized how pathetically easy it would be to just eat a bunch of swimmers.
