Further, then Harry Potter spell, avada kadavra is made as a parody of this instead meaning "as I speak I create corpses"

Yep! I got into Harry Potter early on in life, so I thought that abracadabra was actually Avada Kedavra, so in all my games of pretend or just saying it, I was actually casting death on the other kids

In universe headcanon in ancient times muggles over heard wizards say this during times of war and they thought that was their *key* spell. Over the ages it got mucked up into abra cadabra.

Funny enough. Most magic that uses incantations and other similar magics are based on your will. Magic is just a way to extend your will beyond the limits of the non magical. That statement says you create what you speak so you are only limited to what you can speak about. It’s similar to the magic of Earthsea.
