Oh god my sister does it all the time. Sometimes people at restaurants tell her to stop. The problem is I have to ask her to stop too because repetitive movements catch my eye and give me headaches when I'm tired, so being around us means hearing a constant "Your leg -Ah yes. [no more than 5 seconds later] Your leg. Please. [5] YOUR LEG [5] Your FUCKING LEG [5] I'm gonna take this corkscrew and yank your patella out if you don't stop moving your damn leg." It's even worse when she's stressed. If anyone has found a way to take control over her leg, I'm more than willing to hear it!
It's something that someone can't control unless they notice it.
Sometimes it could be a condition.
People have tied ropes and belts around their legs to reduce or stop the trembles but no certain cure or solution is known.
So don't blame them if they can't stop.
Ok I'm definitely not gonna tie her up to her chair (I may have thrown the idea around but it's not really friendly).
I don't really blame her because I understand she doesn't even know she's doing it, but at the same time it physically hurts so I still need to ask her to stop.
Valid question! I've asked her a long while ago, it does not bother her to stop but she starts doing it again immediately after stopping, without even noticing, because her leg just moves on autopilot. The question of who is right is an open debate x) I'm trying not to be an asshole about this issue though, I only ask during lunch and diner because it moves the whole table, my own leg too most of the time and the headaches get really intense. But I also have annoying habits that she helps me keep down. We compromise, if I've asked her to stop quite a lot I'll fix her a 4 o'clock snack and if I crack my knuckles too much and she's gotten mad about it she'll get me a book from the book box.
