It is sad. I've seen too many Joes that need help. Too many guys that think because they haven't been blown up, they don't have a right to complain.
And some guys who have been in the shit, but would rather kill themselves than not go outside the wire again.
But I've also seen guys that did get help, only to be barred from schools and selections, put behind a desk, and eventually end up stigmatized, stripped of their rights, and discriminated against in the civilian side.
Outside of mandatory reporting, I just tell guys to do what's best for them. Not the army, not Uncle Sam, not mom and dad, just them.
Honestly tho, I like and use 90% of the stuff I buy in my manic phases.
