In 20+ years in IT I was never once had someone question the value of the department. Individuals? Yes. There are useless people in every industry.

On a side note, this cabling sucks. They are using Velcro rather than zip ties which is good but a bit of planning and you don’t need runs of that distance through a limited number of paths. Makes replacing a single cable a giant pain.
