No. It’s not. Sorry. It’s actually even worse. Pratt was snapped in a gym photo for his official social media, the Jason Mamoa left a comment on it:
“Bro I love you. No single use plastic. come on." So prat apologized for it.
So THEN Momoa sort of(?) apologized pretty much saying he was sorry to call him out- but he’s really passionate about disposable plastic. So CP pretty much replied saying he uses a reusable gallon he had with him and wasn’t using single use bottles- but he didn’t know what to do with his hands in the picture so an assistant threw him the bottle. It’s all very... silly.
That being said though- Joaquin Phoenix recently became a public darling for calling out Hollywood on their excesses- and while private jets are arguably a far cry from disposable bottles- and the nature of modern fame with all the travel and events and just even the process of making films having such a huge impact it may seem silly but I suppose it actually is somewhat important. I mean- for one celebrities are very public and people tend to “aspire” or copy them- and most nowadays or at least the industry is at least trying(?) to be or look, or feel “responsible.”
And then there is the act that while it might be a huge pain or even not realistic budget and life wise for poor or average folks to do certain things or give things up- when we are talking about folks that rich who could easily afford expenses that don’t increase their own quality of life but are more friendly to the world- and who literally have assistants and staff to make those choices for them and do the “legwork” so they don’t even have to think or do anything but write a memo to staff that they want only “conscious living”... I suppose Mamoa has a point. It’s effectively 0 work and no real dent to their pocket books to make small changes to do better.
Lol. I do too. You’re not supposed to. The plastics used in those bottles can break down more easily and pose some vague danger of some chemical nature. So most people follow the directions and toss them after one use. So the bottle itself is rated for single use. A clever person could likely get several uses out of a sheet of toilet paper, a tampon, or many things- they just aren’t intended to be used more than once for various reasons.
