as an Australian, Drop Bears are dangerous, they'll soon as use their claws to tear your throat at as much as just humbly climb a tree stoned on eucalyptus leaves.

yes, they're designed to climb trees a monkey wouldn't be able to. they are also extremely short-sighted. Meaning, if you see one in the wild and go to pat it, it only sees a hand suddenly in front of it, so they swipe with those claws

I loved Koalas since I was little. They are so cute. That said- they are dangerous. As far as mammals go- and as far as our understanding of intelligence goes- they are basically believed to be the dumbest mammal. They have the tiniest brain to body size of any mammal and very smooth brains. They do t even realize that Eucalyptus is edible if the leaves are off the tree. They can be VERY violent and can be easily and seemingly inexplicably agitated. They more or less are “drunk” most of the time due to the fact their food is poison- and it is even poisonous to them- if they eat too much they die. They also host a VERY aggressive strain of chlamydia that can cause so much pain they can die from the hurt. Oh- and it is highly contagious and humans can catch it by contacting the urine of a koala infected with the human transmittable strain.

Let me put this in perspective- thieves tried to steal a koala from the zoo and it slashed them up so badly that they stole a 200+lbs crocodile because it was easier- even with having to lift the thing over the security fences. Most of the time- most Koalas will be pretty harmless. They have slow metabolism and tend to be on the “lazy” seeming side. But they have claws and teeth and can have very bad attitudes. They are also actually very fast runners if they want to be- they’ve been known to chase down 4 wheelers (atv’s) and even cars.
