There are better ways to give up a child, but at least he's safe now

My local train system has the conductor cabins as a “safe drop off”. Every time I wonder what the fuck happens if someone abandons their infant in an empty cabin that isn’t inspected until the train turns back?

There's even a a box in Korea attached to an orphanage called the "Baby Box". The shame women get from having children and not being able to care for them is so big that the man running the orphanage offered this box so they didn't feel scared about giving up their child and had a safer option then leaving it to die.
