We're not at the riots stage yet. We're at the "protests/civil disobedience/occasional things being set on fire/trains being unable to travel" stage, which is rapidly devolving into the "the entire economy is being disrupted, leading to extreme racial tensions" stage.

And it's because of a pipeline.

The pipeline is the point of contention not the factor at fault here though. I want to clarify that.
