When I was a kid Ramadan would fall around December and I legit thought it was just how it always was. Kids in other countries got Christmas and we got Ramadan and eid and school was out for the year. Then I discovered the lunar calendar XD this year Ramadan is in April and kids these days don’t get to enjoy having it during their school holidays haha suckers
If I tell someone Merry Christmas and they say oh I don’t celebrate Christmas then I would tell them then wish me a Happy or Marry whatever Religious holiday you do celebrate that is this time of year if you don’t have a holiday this time of the year then just say You wish me a Happy New Year.
And I tell those people that are like I don’t like saying Happy Holidays because it is Christmas you should say Merry Christmas. When I was a kid to say Happy Holidays meant Merry Christmas and Happy New Year together. So I tell them that when truly it’s just a way of saying happy every holiday that people celebrate this time of year.
I don’t celebrate Christmas but if someone said it to me I don’t understand why I would be offended by it, I would just wish them back. It’s the thought that counts, you just want to wish people a happy holiday. I really don’t understand people that get all technical about it
