So when I buy a PC game on Steam, will I automatically get the license for the same game on PS4?

the problem there is that might be out of the hands of cpdr, sony would probably kill that before the sentence could be finished being spoken

You should be able too, which is partially why I ordered FF14 from steam instead going and getting a PS4. Your save data won't transfer if it's an offline game, if it's online game there might be a server that stores your character data, so you can access the same character, but the settings of that character (hotbars in particular) won't transfer. From a PC to a playstation. PC to PC can be done by transferring the right files from the original PC. I'm not sure if you can put the files on a harddrive and then plug that into a playstation and transfer them... it might work? I dunno.

But yeah, you'll probably have to buy a physical copy as well. I'm waiting on PS5, and it hasn't been specified how that's going to work.
