Neither, my mom would just want someone to listen for her gossip and dad would need someone to do something for him. I'd ignore both until my younger brother would call then I would know it's something actually important.

Hmmmm .. if it's my estranged dad he'd probably be up the proverbial creek, sans paddle, and need money. If it's my mom she probably want me to come over because she's bored despite the risk to me, her and my stepdad. Either way I'd just let it ring. She can text me if it's an emergency and he can go eff himself.
