Making your finger hit your palm the same way without flicking it is very difficult

WHAAAAT?!

I can easily snap my fingers to my thumb, making the noise, without the palm. It's not as loud. Is this some sort of joke, and I'm taking it seriously? Like a play off 'lick your elbow'? I'm just baffled by this post each time I see it.
