For anyone wondering, the guy in the video is Chandler Kamenesh, host of "Chandler's Wild Life."
.
A couple things to note:
1. He is NOT doing this for fun. This was part of an impromptu rescue of ten king cobras that had been captured and were being kept in deplorable conditions. They were extremely stressed, many in poor health, and on their way to dying.
.
2) He has handled venomous reptiles all his life and does own two king cobras of his own so he is familiar with their body language. There was also limited access to supplies, which is also part of why he's free-handling them.
.
If you would like to watch part 1 of the rescue, it can be found here:

Part 2 [The actual release of the snakes back to the wild]

Further elaboration of what's going on:
What he's doing here is NOT "Snake-Charming." Snake-Charming is a horrifying and inhumane practice that largely involves mutilation, torture, and the eventual starvation of the animal.
.
He IS using a technique that is used by snake charmers, and snake handlers in general.
.
Snakes do not have particularly powerful vision, but they can sense heat, and they are VERY aware of motion around them. If something gets close to them they will often focus on whatever is moving the most and/or has the highest heat signature.
.
He is attempting to distract the snake with his free hand and body while he uses his other hand to guide the snake's head toward the ground so he can pin and restrain the snake.
