Assuming they didn't happen all at once.... than you gave him 2-4 more chances to repeat the behavior expecting a different result, which sounds like the definition of insanity to me

If she was in such a horrific relationship that she was trapped and could not leave than I now question what in hell compelled her to:
-Stay in contact with him
-feel safe enough to block him repeatedly on social media
-UNBLOCK him at least once on social media
-Screenshot her conversation with him and post it on social media where he can see
-and, assuming the op is the one saying "this is how my night is going" - using emojis to express her encounter with her abuser
