I used to think cooking was for girls. I went to my then girlfriends house and saw her dad who was a retired marine cooking and he told me a man's gotta be self sustaining. It's stuck with me ever since
Mine is also a retired marine and he always cooks at home because in his submarines he can't choose the menu, at least at home he makes things exactly the way everyone likes it.
I literally cannot understand how cooking can be considered girly? Most of the professional chefs are men. Even if you are not a professional chef and only cook for yourself or your family, you are giving them food. You are allowing people to experience the feeling that is good food. There is no gender to cooking. It transcends beyond our societal norms and standards. Cooking is a gift of life and food.
It's genuinely a huge deal
