I'm not against masks, I'm just against the state battering and imprisoning people over them.
And I'll have you know that I am no strumpet, any dress I wear will cover my thighs.
Oh I know, but people just lump any discourse about governments mandating masks as "mask-hating/anti-mask/mask-phobic."
.
I'm not entirely certain what to make of THAT imagery (let alone the use of the word strumpet). But on an unrelated note I now have tea up my nose.
It may have to do with the fact that many people looking to debate the dangers to freedom of forcing wearing masks, are on record as not seeing an issue with recent acts, usage, and methodologies surrounding federal agencies. The seeming disparity between the views may reinforce the idea many people had that such protests are less about constitutionality or proper process and balance of powers, and more about being upset over the simple act itself. But that is just one possible theory I put forward.
I am secure enough in my masculinity to wear a skirt or dress, and my thighs are amazing, but a man needs to respect himself and leave SOMETHING to the imagination.
And it could look like disparity, until you realize that there's a huge difference between beating and arresting people for not wearing a mask, or beating and arresting people for assault, battery, arson, destruction of federal property, and see that the city and state are derelict in their duties to law-abiding citizens.
I don't doubt it haha. I'm sure you'd pull it off just smashingly
.
Interestingly someone I know went to a costume party once. A guy there was dressed up as wonder woman. Literally every girl there was jealous of the guy's legs (he'd shaved them mind you).
.
.
.
As for the disparity thing - I'm not really looking to go down this rabbit hole again. All I can say is I've tried on several occasions to tell people that there's a difference between being anti-mask and being anti-government enforced mask wearing. People have shown an impressive unwillingness to actually listen to what I am saying vs what they've decided I am saying, and I've largely lost interest.
.
If people are willing to dedicate that much time and effort to their own deliberate ignorance, far be it from me to stand in their way. It's generally a more enjoyable use of my time to just poke fun now and again
I could never pull off being Wonder Woman. I've got the shoulders, but I'm short and love cheeseburgers too much to have sculpted abs.
As for the rest, yeah. It's tired and people are obtuse.
We can’t really say that people don’t understand- I for one can say I do. If on a random Tuesday the 14th of 2015, 1987, many years- the government said: “you’re all wearing masks now and we won’t let you outside...” well... that would be a real problem. So I completely understand when a person says they feel there is a case for a principal there- principal being the key word.
The failing of “people just don’t understand...” is that what you are saying is that you annoy convince people to AGREE, an important distinction because conflating agreement with understanding makes the assumption ones position is correct.
But- if you want people to understand... produce the scientific data AND backing myself and others have asked for. Results showing that either and/or the masks are ineffective, or that there is not a danger of deadly pandemic. I can’t speak for others, but I would certainly be willing to agree that it is a travesty of freedom if you could demonstrate and not jut speak on opinion that orders to wear masks are pointless and violate constitutional law. Currently the actual data we had does not support those assessments- so... anyone driven by fact as it exists can understand your emotions- but will be disinclined to agree until given data and fact showing otherwise.
I find it very amusing that in a post where I talk about people only hearing what they WANT me to be saying, you've gone off and forged an entire novel based on someone declaring that people "don't understand."
.
I can't see a place where famousone used those words personally. He said there's a distinction (there is) and that people are stupid (they often are). Maybe I missed it.
.
.
I for one never said people don't understand. I said they refuse to even attempt to listen, and vigorously defend their position of deliberate ignorance.
.
They don't want to give any opinion they disagree with an opportunity to slip through the cracks, so they never have an opportunity to NOT understand in the first place.
Also you know damn well that I address everything you just said on at least one other occasion on this very website - less than a week ago if I remember right - so don't prop up your argument by pretending that never happened.
.
It's disingenuous to the point of almost being an outright lie.
.
Amazing how once again everything can land snuggly under the "twisted/ignored words" umbrella. It's a much safer space there.
.
And once again a fine example of why I'm done trying to talk with people who only pretend they have any interest in listening to anything that doesn't fit their worldview.
.
I'm here for famousone in a skirt, and it's an infinitely better use of my time than rehashing the same old over and over again.
I dig your sense of self xvarnah- but famousone is the person who said it, and I never said you had said anything. Please do tell me again about people seeing what they want?
Also- I am unaware of ANYONE posting actual, hard scientific data to those ends on this site- yourself included. If you HAVE posted data and or legal rulings to prove the case- apologies and please do link or reference those- because I haven’t seen ANY data on the subject.
Opinions, emotions, speculation. That is what you bring- and once again, understanding your emotional reactions does not mean people agree, and people not agreeing with you does not mean they don’t understand. Bring facts to the party and support for those facts and you would be less tired because either A: those facts will support what you are saying, or B: you would find no facts to credibly contest the current facts, and you could hopefully then accept it.
People have been provided data and stats. Repeatedly. Including on multiple conversations you were involved in. But far be it from me to get between a person and their double-standards

just re-read my previous comments. They should cover literally everything you just said, and could possibly have planned to say, ad naseum
