Oh come on, every court in any given western country would have ruled exactly like that. Apparently that was not a battle for child custody at all, and HE has custody, so SHE will have to pay some support, most probably based on her income. So what's the big deal here? The literally millions of moms who had (and have!) to take men to court to make them paying proper alimony will have their own stories to tell.
.
As to custody (in the USA): not many people are aware that when US men actively seek sole or joint custody of their children in court, the majority of them wins. It gets better: Mothers who accuse the fathers of sexual abuse in custody battles LOSE more often than those who don't. The accusation of alienation put forward by fathers usually tips the scale in their favor. Again: this is the US situation, this does actually vary more from country to country than what I said about alimony above.
Negative, I wanted to confirm if you were referring to US federal, European, German, or any other nation or state's. We all know edits don't recall people to threads.

She belonged to the streets. Now she belongs to the courts.
Finally some equality when it comes to custody and child support.

I know the situation has been different in Germany for a long time, with a lot of bias against men. But this has substantially changed in the last years. In 2016 there has be a reform, of the respective laws. In the USA this has been way different for along time already, see my comment above.
