I hope this is only for dogs who have no homes. Senior dogs loved by families should stay with them till their last minute

Agreed, but sometimes an older person's last dog, especially if they are older dogs, may need to be removed due to their owner's own age related medical issues.

lets work on banning shelters that put animals down first, we can talk about being actual decent creatures after that.
