In fairness- the 10 retailed for $1,000 USD, the non pro models of the new phone are several hundred dollars less than that, and the pro models start at about the same price despite having faster processors, better cameras and electronics, new ceramic impregnated glass, and in the case of the pro versions- double the hard drive capacity on the base models. So I think they did adjust the price somewhat- in fact probably one of the main reasons they eliminated the buds was to help combat the rising price of phones while preserving profits- likely to hit a certain price point for marketing.
@guest_ from what I’ve been reading on the topic you’re right. Not only is apple trying to be “eco conscious” they’re trying to make “affordable” phones. Now how practical either of their efforts are in those endeavors isn’t up to us but up to study. I will give them credit with affordable as this is the first time they’re releasing that Mini iphone. Unlike their last attempt at the 5ec? this one has similar specs to the newer models and doesn’t cut out function for low costs. My problem with this is that every year everyone screams that iPhones are the worst then they go buy the new one anyways, and NOT A SINGLE PERSON has a problem with the new “flip phone” Samsung released despite it being stupid, terrible specs, and more expensive than the 12promax
Lol. I’m with you. I think people just go for new gimmicks. Form over function so long as that form appeals to them. When the matrix came out, people were paying almost $1,000 for the pop up phones they used- and that’s despite those phones being made to work on foreign networks and getting them to work not being nearly as simple as it is today with mass internet and all the knowledge.
>Hey Boss, since were removing headphones and a wall adapter from the box, are we reducing the price of the phone?
