I think numbers "don't count" in being illiterate, they just can't read letters and words, maybe numbers are easier to read especially if they have a digital clock
I agree with both of you, I guess it's just that the post is worded weirdly. I'd assume that being illiterate = not being able to read, letters and numbers included, but if the patient only owns a digital clock then it wouldn't make sense for the doctor to draw clocks or something to indicate the time.
If the patient is dyslexic, then it makes perfect sense since the long, complicated names of meds must be a nightmare for dyslexic people. But the post says illiterate. Just awkward wording I guess.
