Avon isn't the river they wrote (naming things in writing vs real life)

I'm calling bullshit. The Māori word for apple is āporo, which doesn't at all fit with the town name

I work for TXDOT, in a district of 10 counties with 11 "Rocky Creeks", 9 "Sandy Creeks" and 5 "Elm Creeks" most are in different counties from each other but two Sandy Creeks are 6 miles apart, cross the same highway and are two totally separate water ways.
