My ancestors watching me write weird lemon: "oooh, she's literate!"

We have a better, more comfortable life than they do. Sugar and cream used to be luxuries, as well as owning so much clothing.
So they may be proud to see that their offspring managed to have a gradually better life.

Seems like that pride would be for civilization in general, but I guess.
