There is so much people don’t know about him.
Like that he had long hair before he worked as a stooge and his brother Moe told him to be a stooge he had to shave it off. And though it pained him to do so he did it.
People used to come up to him and physically attack him laughing while they did so because they assumed he was doing the hits for real in the movies. At the time people didn’t understand that not everything they see people do in movies was real.
He was a bit of a flirt and a player. Moe and Larry both had wives but Curly seemed to always have a different girl. He was married 4 times.
His first lasted a year and his 3rd lasted 4 months.
He had 2 little girls and sadly died when the youngest was 4.
I can't recommend "Curly: An Illustrated Biography of the Superstooge" by Moe's daughter Joan enough. A wonderful book that gives you a look into Curly's life by his own niece.
