Worth noting that Black and Tans refers to the uniform colors of British military police reinforcements deployed to Ireland during the Irish War of Independence (1919 - 1921).

I'm not sure I understand your comment. Black and Tan had nothing to with race. It had everything to do with hating the British government and wanting it the fuck out of Ireland.
