If you are american don't go to collage if you need to take out student loans, you will be an indentured servant until you can repay

Honestly get a job out of high school. Save up as much money as you can. Go to school after age 23 if you still think it's necessary to go. The FAFSA will no longer be based on your parents' income but yours alone. The government will give you more money/grants to go to school.

This is wisdom, the problem being people will rarely, if ever, tell you that... especially if you're an athlete that won't make it. That will give you fond memories you can then share though, so the public speaking route is always there.
