Sounds fun until you realize many hundreds of thousands of greasy grimy fingers will be primed to touch every page in those books. At best making them slightly less fresh, and at worst making then messy and stained.
A library I used to go to started serving food as well, and only once in 4 years have I seen a customer that hasn't been respectful and had gotten jam in a book. People seemed to enjoy it and take care of the books as they didn't want this to become less enjoyable or stop, they're still doing it.
I did that too while learning French...is that your first language? Some of the mistakes that don't seem possible when you consider only one language are the ones you make repeatedly when speaking your second (or third).
Yup. I usually don't make that one and actually realized like two hours later "wait, did I say library?" but I was doing sthg else and didn't take the time to change it.
