Actually majority of you didn’t grow up with them looking like the first one seeing as that version was from 1969 to 1978.
Look up What’s new scooby doo that came out 2002 it is more closer to majority of people on heres age. Lol
And I grew up watching scrappy doo and a pup named scooby doo lol
You can't just assume everyone is as old as you here on this site. Plus there's a thing called reruns and some kids outside of the age group of the original airings were still able to grow up watching them. I was one of those.
Actually I was assuming everyone was younger lol
And yeah reruns are a thing and the original scooby is still on air
But the thing is it says I’m glad I grew up with this and not that
And well unless the one who posted this originally is 52+ to 43+ I doubt they technically grew up with it
That like me saying I am glad I grew up watching I love Lucy and not sex in the city
Hey, I grew up with Scooby Doo Where Are You? We had several VHS tapes of it. I do prefer What's New Scooby Doo, and the direct to video movies, but the original was so much better than the Be Cool carp.
I mean, it looks like a Family Guy parody skit, and it's like they took personality inspiration from Rick and Morty (just more PG). I tried to get into it, but it's just so mean-spirited feeling that I couldn't make it through an entire episode (no matter how many times I tried).
I mean, sure, I think the new character designs are ugly too. But let's not pretend the original Scooby Doo was a pinnacle of animation. Each episode had a budget of like two cents and a pop tart so the animation was janky and repetitive.
But we all know the live action movies are where it's at. And I'm saying that half-jokingly but I actually do love the movies for their ridiculous amount of cheesiness.
