Daily dose of history, part 34

There used to be a solid gold cap stone and the entire thing was plastered to make it smooth. Granted is was nothing that a few thieves and couple of millennia couldn't cure though.

My eyes alternate rapidly between telling me it's the inside and the outside of the pyramid's top, either way it's really cool!
