Here in California you only have to mention the ones 3 years ago. And if they died from AIDS than you are not aloud to mention it at all.

I once saw a post that said it's funny when an American movie says "people have died there" bc our house is like 150 years old, except the sweet and transparent old lady in the attic of course the previous owners are dead.
