My spouse used to have a friend with an impeccable sense of timing. If we forgot to silence the phone, the dude would invariably call about five seconds pre-nut.

Here we call our inlaws as if they were in our own family. So if you were talking to someone about your sister in law. You would say "my sister". Your father in law becomes your father, you would call "dad". It's weird af.
