Some people will no doubt be bugged by this bit of insect pride pandering. However, that won't stop this small beetle from showing their true colors.
Found in the eastern US with their range extanding to the Rocky Mountains, they only grow to about 3 cm (1.2 in). Still, they are just as important to their environment as any other dung beetle, acting as a sort of cleaner and recycler.
