It is also a tiny problem when the supply line ceases moving because none of the vehicles are engineered to operate at that temperature.

The cold sucked, but in the summer the tundra sucked when the dust was kicked up by moving vehicles whose engines choked as a result, and it sucked in the spring rains where the "roads" turned into mud pits.
