Iirc the windows phone wasn't bad but it wasn't good either so no one had any incentive to switch from IPhone or the equivalent Android to it.

their new security update allows anything uploaded to their cloud to be scanned and if they deem it "inappropriate" then they can report it to authorities, this includes if say you have young children and take pics of them swimming, can be viewed as pics of minors in swimming attire, so pedophile. Basically iphone will have access to all private photos and videos uploaded to their cloud servers.

You wish. What they're planning is to search your PHONE for such pics. Before they're even uploaded to the cloud.
