Nobody is fucking with the old comics.
Did you care Harley went full lesbo with Ivy? I didn't. I thought that was well done in the show. Both had very good reasons not; but love is love and the built a true trust upon each other; given how damaged they are, they deserved a slight bit of happiness. Comic characters usually aren't static monoliths. They are in most of the DC world, which DC's biggest fault; as it makes most of their characters unable to relate with. I'm not saying this isn't a dumb idea; it is, for reasons posted under this, but half of the point of comics is you can fuck with em. Marvel's "What If...?" being the premier example on screen and in the pages. Just treat this Supes like a "What if...? Supes was gay"
Honestly, who cares? Superman is one of the shittiest characters in comics because he's so goddamn hard to write so it eventually always comes off as moronic in one way or another. Even Injustice is boring because of it. This was bound to happen.
I wanna know who he falls in love with. We already know he HAS love for Batman; but I doubt Batman would be cool with that. Maybe Martian Manhunter since they are both aliens... Maybe Hawkman, but I doubt he'd wanna do that to Hawkwoman. Shazam and Robin are kids and gay pedo superman is beyond fucked up... Aquaman? Aquaman would prolly be the easiest pick for a writer; and sever a fucked up marriage. But... back to the Hawks, why? He's Superman, it's also supposed to apply to his morals (not the gay part, the infidelity). Flash? Also a boy, basically... unless a paradox and older Flash. I'm betting they're just gonna go with Batman simply because it's so easy it writes itself. Talk about phoning it in.
