A while back, some guy approached me asking for money, and I actually felt bad for him bc I didn't have change on me, but then he asked me to get some out of the cashpoint, so apologised and got the fuck away from him.

Yeah… I feel you. I get where a lot of these folks are coming from, and I get how sometimes they may not be polite or may be aggressive- even when there aren’t mental health or substance abuse issues involved- people can be down right cruel to those asking for change etc, and it can be very emotionally and mentally draining approaching possibly hundreds of strangers a day asking for help and getting rejected time after time- especially when your survival, a meal or a place to sleep may be on the line. That said… “go get cash from the ATM..” that’s like… that one is a little too sketchy I think lol. I can’t hold it against a person to ask, especially in desperate straights, but in that position I don’t think I could hold it against someone for saying no if I asked them to withdraw cash for me either.
