Funny meme, incorrect or debatable data requiring qualification. As “fun facts”:
1. The first known Batman Films seen in theaters were around 1943. A second 15 film weekly serial film was shown around 1949.
These films introduced some of the modern “staples” of the franchise- the character of Alfred was added for the serial films for example.
- for accuracy if we omit these serials this should read: “ the first full” (or feature) “length Batman film..”
2. This List also ignores the 1993 offshoot/continuation of the popular Batman Animated series- the animated feature length Batman film “Mask of The Phantasm,” which was released to theaters and given the full publicity and merchandising one would expect of a Batman film.
- the data set provided should qualify live action films as well.
So if we use this data set we’d have to specific that we are referring only to live action feature length theatrical releases of Batman films.
