Most people want to work. Most people don’t want it be exploited or do pointless, unnecessarily punishing, demeaning, menial work which will disproportionately benefit someone else who makes money off what they do.
Most people get fed up of a system where the rewards almost seem random. A CEO loses $2 billion and makes $1million salary that year while a wage worker breaks every record in the department and maybe gets a little printed out certificate or a $50 Visa gift card.
The labor system and the economy are human generated- they aren’t laws of nature rooted in immutable and detached forces. They are things we control, so we can improve them and we can make them fit our sensibilities to a large degree. People want the “rules” we make to keep up with the times.
