Mmmmm…. I mean…. Yes but no? The names sound similar- but if you need 1 gram of maple sugar to make cookies is that the same as 1g of sugar maple just because they sound the same?
Meth and adderall are also both stimulant drugs. Of course so is nicotine and caffeine and many other substances. Meth is a MUCH more powerful stimulant than adderall just as adderall is much more potent than a cup of coffee. Now it helps to realize that many medications are related in this way to others- many common pain medications and even common medicines for colds and the like could be said to be “rebranding of heroine.” For decades many of the most popular and fast acting asthma medications have used steroids, and in athletics and even personal wellness the ubiquitous “cortisone” shots also known to arthritis patients and such are an injectable steroid. So that is the “rebranding of steroids” is suppose..?
In truth many drugs that became illicit and abused started out as medical research or being used in medicine and because of their drawbacks or side effects or potentials for abuse and addiction variants were developed to do the same job maybe a little “safer.” In chemistry things fall in to families. Diamonds and pencil tips are the same family but very different. Similarities in chemicals or sharing families or groups doesn’t mean they are effectively the “same thing.” But.. people need to stop being dumb basically. Adderall is a drug just like aspirin or heroine. They all have potential uses and positive effects and they all have dangers and side effects or potential I’ll effects. Using a drug just because you want the positive effect is like signing up for the military just because you want some free socks. Don’t be dumb. Drugs are tools that have uses and costs. If you can avoid a drug it is usually better to, but wether it is medicine or even food- the human body needs external..
.. chemicals to function. So you use what needs be used as needed and be informed on what you are doing and what that means. If you don’t need Aderrall you shouldn’t take it. If you want to use it for it’s positive effects and don’t actually need it.. that’s your choice and there are consequences or potential consequences. Most of us can’t really understand complex things like pharmacology and need to trust an expert. If your expert thinks you need aderrall and you don’t- that’s also your call, there are also negatives to not taking it if it might benefit you. Make the decision you think is best after educating yourself and speaking to experts. But the whole “we’re giving children meth!” Thing is… dumb. As stated above. It isn’t meth and billions of people rely on stimulants like caffeine every day already or turn to depressants like alcohol.
