Somewhere, an idiot is going to think this is real, they'll share it, lots of other idiots will get angry and another unnecessary debunk post will be made that'll never reach the first idiot.
Or likely each any of the idiots. It doesn’t really matter if it does that much anyway- human psychology. It doesn’t matter if “Andy” never does anything bad, if Andy is constantly being arrested, accused, even if those things are exonerated the general perception of Andy becomes negatively associated. That’s part of the tactics of media warfare. It was a ridiculous idea that the Clintons drank blood in a pizza parlor but there was and is lots of “negative” buzz associated with the Clinton name- “email” “Benghazi” “dress” “scandal” “Epstein” “drinks blood” etc. if at least some is real, that helps make it believable that maybe more is. “Jim couldn’t have done it- he is a straight arrow” vs. “James? I could see him doing it. You know he’s got a last record for…”
So the “tabloid” style journalism of Fox and such just needs to churn out negative press to reinforce the idea that this person or entity is up to no good. Even if you could personally make sure every person exposed to..
.. misinformation was set straight and the truth was proven to their satisfaction- the emotion and connection of constant exposure to negative or fraudulent information tends to create those perceptions even when we know they are factually wrong. Like who could honestly believe something like “all XYZ people are dumber”? Like, slave owners knew slaves. Many had children with them. While education might be lacking, it would be pretty obvious that no, one race isn’t superior - but those sentiments aren’t fact based. They are often built up by upbringing and environment to become a sort of dogma. Like those positive people who you can see are clinging to a positivity because they need to believe it to get through the day. The facts don’t change what it suits or benefits people to believe.
It would be hard to paint all republicans as monsters- many have been great humanitarians and leaders. But… Donald Trump and the Mcconnells and Laurie B’s and such make it easy as the Clintons do for the right. Assassinate (rightly or wrongly) the figure heads- paint them as the standard of the breed and then it is easy to transfer the hate or poor sentiment from them to the entity they represent. Then it’s self reinforcing. If you hate the dems it’s easier to hate Hillary. If you hate trump it’s easier to hate the republicans. The hate of the individual makes hate of the group easier and hate if the group make share of the individual easier.
