It's one or the other. You either take the test every two years, or you get a modified licence. You also need to take a medical every twelve months once you turn 75.
Same in ontario but its just the written test nothing practical on the road or anything. Eye exam and a couple questions on signage, etc. Assessment can be a pretty broad term for some people.
Yeah, every couple years even for people who aren't elderly. My brother just got his car sideswiped by an on coming car. And of course they kept going. We all could use an update on driving rules.
