This is freaking ridiculous. Being an army girlfriend/wife is more of a burden than a privilege. If you really love the guy then you'll have to worry if he's alive or not everyday and that is nothing to be excited about. I salut those army spouses because they have to go thru so much. Also I want to throw this chick in the pit of doom yesterday, that's how urgent this is.
I shall let you know that you are absolutely correct. Even if your spouse in army wouldn't actually be fighting in a war, like in my case, mine does work for one and has to be away from me 5 days a week. It's a burden and honestly, I am happy that his contract expires next year and he again continues studying closer to me.
This girl is watching wedding shows where they spend $100,000 on a dress and cater $500/plate receptions. She's gonna be real disappointed when she finds out the military does NOT pay for your wedding, and if they did her dress would be $50 or less and the reception would take place in the base's enlisted dining hall—at lunchtime with everyone else.
I can only assume she heard "military wedding" and got super confused. That just means your base chaplain does the service and your groom's squad does the saber salute. The cost of it all is still on you, sweetie.
