Considered to be one the staple magical girl (mahou shoujo) series, Carcaptor Sakura focuses on the eponymous character and her quest to (re)capture powerful magical cards known as Clow Cards. Aside from that, the series also explores all kinds of love (yes, even the dreaded adult/child romance - it's not creepy, I promise) But Tomoyo's love for Sakura really stands out. She loves and admires her deeply, but knows Sakura will never feel the same way. So, she finds happiness in being Sakura's confidant and by helping and supporting her anyway she can; this even includes aiding Sakura's own romantic pursuits. (It's funny though; if she were a boy, some people today might call her a simp)
