I don’t care that they don’t understand the level of heat I’m used to. But, what dumbfound me is that 26 means the world is burning!1!! to them but when I saw snow for the first time I was treated like I was insane cause “everyone sees snow”. I guess I don’t sympathize very well to their cause bc we’re always told to toughen up if we complain about it getting too cold here but the whole world is hysterical over a typical October day

I’ve only ever had really chill closet spiders who occasionally would wonder out to the bookshelves. Strangely enough I’ve never seen the terrifying image you described until my nightmares tonight so I wonder where my nice spiders come from

I’m from both Texas and Nevada (but currently Texas). The hottest day I’ve ever seen was 47 degrees and the coldest was when I went on vacation to Reno and it snowed

Idk what kind of meds you might take but I’ve always found that common pain pills that are marked pm will knock me out for 10 hours but make me feel like i’ve been awake the whole time upon getting up

The whole London, England weather thing makes me feel like the confused and angry Jackie Chan meme. Their high yesterday was only 17 and it’ll be 25 max all week, but where I’m from it won’t get bellow 36 for another month. And sure we don’t get their winters but when it is bellow freezing here you don’t see 12,000 memes full of whining you hear an old man say “in my day people knew how to drive in the snow”

I don’t know man, but most women I know have to nearly die before an obgyn takes them seriously. My aunt has had breast cancer 4 times, and this latest time she had been getting regular screening (3 times a year for 4yrs) before some resident went through her 3 year old scans to find that she’s had cancer for the past 3 yrs. my mom had ovarian and cervix cancer ten years apart but her docs thought she was crazy the 2nd time around and let her go months before a proper scan and diagnosis

It took 2 quick internet searches to reveal that in 2012 there were approx. 1.7M breast cancer cases compared to 1.1M prostate cases. Doesn’t mean that breast cancer should be the most talked about thing but let’s face the facts of: are men really about to overcome their egos and talk about their private regions and it’s illness? And how many women will speak out about losing something that’s so vital to a female appearance and so deadly?
