Having been to Italy twice and eaten pizza both there and in the US I would have to say it's different. The pizza's I had there tended to be baked in stone ovens and wood fired. The quality was great but the trend for less cheese when you're used to more can be disconcerting. You can get the same thing in the US but it's not as common.

I know you kinda touched on it but an important aspect for us non-scientists is the initial premise/question. Is it a study to determine what happens when x meets x or if x happens? Or, is it a study that goes x is happening, this is a verifiable fact, now why on earth is it happening? Depending on the type it does make it easier to decide whether to believe the results depending on things like sample size and what not.

While this may illustrate main stream media coverage it's my understanding that it's never going to really go away. It's apparently transmissible to animals and back. And just because you've had it once doesn't mean you can't get it again. So just like the regular flu it's going to be hanging around for a while.

Dodgeball where you had kings and queens was really fun 6 comments

I loved playing dodgeball as a kid. I wasn't the best at throwing, mainly because I was pretty small and it was difficult gripping the balls, but I was a real champ at dodging and catching. For that matter I still like playing even if after about four throws my shoulder will come out of the socket.

That's small enough the mother may still be around. While alligators are cannibals mothers are not to be fooled around with. They will attack first and never ask questions.

"I don’t know whether you fully understand that I have just been shot—but it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose.” - Teddy Roosevelt. He then proceeded to give almost and hour long speech. The bullet lodged in a rib and would remain there for the rest of his life.

Use a plastic bag you get from buying groceries to wrap tightly around the stalk or joint where all the bananas join. Make it as air tight as possible. This will slow the ripening of your bananas. It won't make them last forever but it will give you a few more days before you need to make that Banana Bread.

Hero or not his opening monologue was sheer genius. "This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valourous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition!"

One Long Night: A Global History of Concentration Camps 45 comments

I know this is a little off wall but New York City once did something in a similar nature. Under a previous mayor they went full bar on all crimes. If it was a crime they punished the perpetrators no matter how small the crime. By doing so they had a drop in all crime throughout the city. This is the exact opposite of what certain elected officials are doing now. They claim that they don't want people to be unjustly punished for little things thus ruining their chances in life. However it flies in the face of human psychology. By our nature we push at our boundaries. Letting people get away with little crimes just emboldens them to do more or worse crimes.

In a press conference they explained the people in question were part of a mob of people that attacked federal officers. The officers did not want to try and wade through a whole mob so they waited and followed until they could approach them without a ton of people around. Two uniformed federal officers then approached them announced who they were and proceeded to arrest them. The van was called in to move them but because of an approaching mob they wanted to get everyone out as quickly as possible to keep everyone safe. This is where the unmarked van rapidly pulled up and quickly drove off. For the record unmarked vehicles are used by every law enforcement agency and have been used for decades.

I know this hasn't been covered in the last year or so but you do realize the Soccer was coined by the British. They called it soccer to differentiate it from other football sports. Then the Americans picked it up since it was an easy way to describe the sport. Then the Brits didn't like that the Americans were calling it the same thing they were and went back to calling it just football.

I realize you're a bot and don't understand things like temperature, but it's be 94 F (34.4 C) degrees out with 58%-78% humidity, 90+ before 10am. Even if we had such thing as a heater we certainly wouldn't be testing it now.

This is why I think they should all be banned from using the word unlimited. If at any time there is a limit it's not unlimited. If it was truly unlimited by definition I should be able to use 100 terabytes of data at max speed. Now I get this is impractical and would be extremely cost prohibitive. It would also require a complete overhaul of the infrastructure to ensure every customer in the entire network coverage area receives the max level at all times. So I'd be cool with using terms like "hardly limited" or "near unlimited". I just don't think they should be able to play these type of games.
