Nine on one hand from a knife attack several years ago, and six accidental (either cuts or burns from various tasks) I'm also missing a fingertip but I count that as one scar.

The best thing though is to have it look like dirt but really have an obsidian core.

I also have probably fifteen scars between both hands so who knows.

I'm in therapy for the crap I have experienced in my life, and yes while it helps with dealing with the self doubt and blame, the other emotional issues, it will never change the fact that those things occurred, and that I may have been a very different person if they hadn't. although some positive things did come from those experiences, (my child, my fiercely protective nature, and other things.) I mean if I hadn't been abused by my uncle at a month shy of 8 years old I wouldn't have attempted suicide and fell into a lasting depression, I'd have likely enjoyed my childhood and had much better confidence. If I hadn't dated my kid's mother and dealt with what she did, I wouldn't lose my shit every time I see a serrated blade knife, but I also wouldn't have my amazing little child, so the good came with the bad.

Then they become rabid badgers with random tendencies of bursting into flames.

Dubai and *most* of that general region should pretty much be off limits, things are so ass backwards its basically a total shit show with a side order of human rights violations.

I just want better for my kid, he has suffered enough already and he's not even eight yet, he doesn't deserve to be treated like shit by anyone, he will NOT know the fear of going to sleep and wondering if a knife is waiting to find a sheath between his ribs NOT WHILE I BREATHE! And therapy will not fix abuse, it can scar the wounds but never truly fix them. Abusers are unforgivable.
