There was a study at UT that suggested that they may have made murmuring hooty noises with their mouths closed, like pigeons and ostriches. Partially based on the fact that birds evolved from dinos and don’t have vocal chords like we do.

I honestly checked the name to make sure that wasn’t my husband responding, but I’m pretty confident he doesn’t also go by the alias “lanadelcuntflap”

You don’t go to James Fridman to have him “do what you say”

See, that seems like the most sensible way to hire, but definitely isn’t the way many companies hire. And my “for the record” is that none of this applies in my field, so I’ve been fortunate enough to not have to deal with this. My frustration is just borne from the experiences or friends and family.

Maybe, but who cares. Lots of very important puppies get a nice walk out of it.

But... then why can’t those people be hired for the position? If 3 years experience isn’t worth much more than 0, WHY DO THEY REQUIRE 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE?

I used to feel this way until this one conversation I had in high school. I was talking to this one girl who I didn’t know really well, but who was in the same friend group as me (she was, in my eyes, one of the central members). I commented that I was kind of the outsider of the group, and she said that she’d always thought I was one of the central members, and that she’d considered herself a group outsider. The entire time, we’d each thought we were the outsider, when it turns out neither one of us really was.
TL;DR - We all feel like the outsider sometimes. There’s a good chance that’s at the same time that you’re feel long like an outsider, someone else in your group is feeling the exact same way about themselves.

Ok, it either says Aunt or Cwnt (or possibly Gunt, after reading the comments). But if it's a C, the next letter has to be a w.

Yeah, this is equivalent to Gucci selling over the shoulder purses and then charging an extra $500 for the strap.

By that logic, every time someone says “go back where you came from” to a non-white individual, they are careful to first ask for proof of a green card.

If you have a table, and then make a second, identical table, are they the same table? No, of course not. That’s basically all this argument is.

But also stay sensitive and don’t think that you can tell if someone has depression with a cursory glance. I hide my depression spirals pretty fabulously, and usually outwardly overcompensate for the internal disaster I’m dealing with. Just because someone seems ok doesn’t mean they’re lying about having depression.
