It's faster. And honestly, sitting to pee makes it a whole thing. I don't know how to explain it, but it's the same difference as going through the drive through, or parking your car, going inside and ordering take away.
When you sit down, you have to take off your pants, sit down, sometimes the seat is cold, then wipe, get dressed again. When you pee standing up, it's like a driveby. The time difference is abysmall, but the whole experience changes. 10/10 would pee standing up again.

I mean the issue this post points out is the fact that it should NOT cost $40k to go to college. Im French, I paid a 800euros a year to attend college because I was in a public engineering school. And some of our best schools are public, so it's not the shitty schools.
So the alcohol question aside, the problem here is the cost of education. It being so prohibitive is really problematic.

Parks & recreation. Its a TV series, and a damn amazing one at that.
I highly recommend it, but you will need to power through the first seaons (only 6 episodes) where they setup all the characters which isn't that great. But after that, it's one of the best TV series I know.

I mean the table should be set before customers sit at the table in my opinion, thats how you get around that problem. This looks neat but doesn't really serve any purpose in my opinion (not to mention I've only seen this in asian restaurants, which usually involves a bowl and... i wouldn't risk it.)
The way I usually see it used is that you order food and then you have the different plates (meat. veggies, rice etc...) on the center, so everyone can just turn the center plate to get a serving of each rather than ask people to pass dishes around.

I mean I'm not sure how efficient that is compared to walking around the table and dropping plates as you go.

Nah, there's that fine level to find. Like instagram girls that are plastered in makeup to a point that none of their skin is actually in contact with air ? Hard pass. Fake eyebrows ? HAAAARD PASS (seriously, why ???).
But there ain't no denying that lipstick and a bit of mascara / eyeshadow go a looong way.

He's right tho. As much as I agree that the US voting system is fucked up, its a bit harder than just one citizen one vote. Because then the rural population would get very very under represented. And so their problems would go unheard. And thats no bueno.

It's not about what they were thinking of, it's about the consequences. You're broadcasting a fake "threat" using therms the people MIGHT not know (you cant get through life just fine without knowing what H2O is).
And a fake threat can have dire consequences if panic ensues. So yeah, that's probably what they were prosecuted for. You can't just make up threats and broadcast it and then go "LMAO 'twas but a prank !"

Exactly. Nowadays people are getting offended for everything because it gets them attention and they don't really have to do anything. Just play the victim card.
Back then the "victim" would have to have the guts to stand there and shoot and get shot at by his "oppressor".

Haha no worries, we tend to forget that storage space and memory are limitting since its not really the case for the isolated user, but its still very much the case for businesses :)

Banks are monitored 24/7. Thats a SHITTON of footage (and therefore storage space) already in low quality. In high quality it becomes insane. There's your answer.

Or find friends who have the decency of bringing costumes to a HALLOWEEN party. It doesn't matter how old you are, the party is funnier with crappy costumes.

When coder write code. 4 comments
poopun · 5 years ago
To be fair, in uni I very rarely commented. Projects were bullshit, and I can remember the two / three projects I have in parallel and know what my code does for the semester duration.
Not my part ? not my problem. (kinda, obviously we had an understanding of the overall code of each other) The code works, we pass tests and benchmarks, the teacher isnt going to have fun reading the code of EVERY GROUP.
The semester ends, noone cares about this project anymore, so it doesnt matter that i have no clue what it does.
Now that im working.... boy that shit better be commented

Celebrity asking how much their supporters make to make the tickets affordable 10 comments
poopun · 5 years ago
The fuck are you downvoting for ? Hes mathematically correct. May not be the best kind of correct, but its up there.
And although you can consider what ilikemoderation said, which is that she is looking to maximize profit while remaining withing the budget of her supporters, the key word is MAXIMIZE. She is looking to price the tickets as expensive as possible WITHIN the budget of her supporters (which is an exercise in which you do need to know how much people make).
(please note im just saying this is a question of maximization, NOT minimization, without judgement. minimazing profit would make no sense, and its all about finding that balance between your supporters budget, and your profit margin.)
