Maybe I’ve just never had so much money that I was at risk of being “trapped in wealth” but I’m curious how a person can believe that and why they think it’s bad...

Also, important about the bees... Dandelions are one of the first things available for the bees in the spring when other food is scarce. So not only is it food for them, it is essential food at a time when they need it most.

Quit simply, pet food isn’t sold to pets. It’s sold to humans and humans feel good about buying chicken, beef, salmon –not rodent–meat for their pets. It’s all about target audience.

Or you could just use water and provide the same surprise factor without being gross.

And they meticulously measured the boxes and placed tape squares. When they were done, they looked back and thought, I did a good job.

You’d be wrong. Aside from having one (or 4) myself, I have plenty of friends who had them.

Really good book (All yesterdays).
Dougal Dixon’s “Man After Man” and “The New Dinosaurs” are also really great.
All theoretical evolution books. Man After Man is distant future (further evolution of Homo sapiens) and New Dinosaurs is sorta a what if dinosaurs didn’t die out when they did.

Yeah. He got upset at his roommate (who was going to move out), cut his ear off and brought it to the brothel.

I’ve heard the “bento” menu referred to as a “waffle” menu. Why are they all food?

The point of the piece (I believe) is to point out how absurd and hurtful these types of comments are. And there are a lot of people saying these sorts of things to people who may be transitioning.
So, I don’t believe this is really how people feel and think. It’s sorta Just pointing out how wrong this way of thinking is.

I’m all for snuggling and it doesn’t have to be sexual. Snuggling is nice.

I think it’s moss growing on that moss. That little “tree” looks like club moss—often described as looking like little trees.

I remember finding wild scallions. I was so excited. I found food. So I picked a bunch of scallions and put them in the fridge —so there was food in the fridge (scallions). Not so much a meal, I guess, but I was 7.
Now, when I was 18, living on my own, my struggle meal was bagels. Bagel sandwiches, dry toasted bagels, plain bagels-—every now and then (when my soon to be mother-in-law took pity on us and bought us cream cheese) bagels with cream cheese. You see, the local bagel shop donated their day old bagels to the local head start (where on of us worked) and we were allowed to have whatever breads the parents didn’t take (usually amounted to garbage bags full of bagels). We ate a lot of bagels.
